Few Facts to notice?
In a recent survey by Wheebox, a talent assessment company for India Skills Report 2018, nearly 85% of candidates stated they must be equipped to make career decisions. On sources of career information, over 50% of candidates seek and build career decisions for employment from colleges, followed by 21% from different web portals and only 17% from their immediate and extended family members.
93% of Indian students know only seven career options: What are parents doing wrong? A recent survey on career option awareness among Indian students has revealed that a staggering 93% of the students aged 14 to 21 were aware of just seven career options. However, there are more than 250 job options available in India. Are parents doing something wrong?
During 2017-2018, Indian students took a staggering Rs.140 billion as loans to finance their studies. The Indian Banks Association (IBA) says most of these students cannot pay loans due to poor salaries and high-interest rates.
